The Purpose of the Website
The changes coming in the revised curriculum can be daunting, and the timeline for implementation can be frightening. However, I want to assure teachers that the changes can be managed, and the timeline is just a beginning, NOT a date to have everything ready to go.
My best advice for teachers to is take it slowly and carefully. Anything you do in classes right now that is engaging and all about learning should continue. Changes will come, but make the changes in a way that allows you to teach effectively-no one needs to make wholesale changes to their practice. Plan to have the revised curriculum ready to go in your class...in about five years. As a rule of thumb, if you do want to change your practice, change one thing per class per semester, at most. You don't have to be a Super Teacher any more than you are now.
